THE PROOF IS IN OUR RESULTS

PERMANENT CUSTODY

Our firm represented a relative of a suspect who was charged with child crimes in a neighboring state. Our firm filed a civil lawsuit on behalf of the relative to gain custody of the suspect's daughter. Our litigation resulted in the relative being awarded permanent custody of the child.

NOT GUILTY

Our firm represented a man accused of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter. At trial, our defense team successfully argued that the stepdaughter had falsely accused our client because he had become a more strict stepparent and had punished the child by taking away her phone and preventing her from having boys visit their house. The jury deliberated for about an hour and a half before delivering a verdict of not guilty.

CUSTODY FIGHT

Our firm represented a mother who was sued by the father of her children. The pair had been separated for a while, and the father wanted to modify the custody schedule in his favor. Our firm successfully argued that it would not be in the best interest of the children to spend more time away from their mother. In the end, a judge awarded our client even more custody time than she had prior to the husband filing a lawsuit.

FALSE ACCUSATION

Our firm represented a father who was accused of domestic violence during a custody exchange with the child's mother. In answering the plaintiff's complaint, our firm argued that the mother was jealous of our client's new fiancee and had lied about the events that occurred during the custody exchange in order to derail our client's career. Moments before the case was to be heard by a judge, the plaintiff and her attorney agreed to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice.

Thank you for everything you’ve invested your time and attention to. You literally take the responsibility of sharing the burden and God-awful most humble times of your clients' lives and give us a realistic positive light to focus on. Doesn’t take the pain of that particular chapter in our lives away, but I know if it weren’t for you, Super Woman, us clueless clients wouldn’t have faith to hold our heads up for love.

FAMILY LAW SERVICES

Divorce

Divorce lawyers must be skilled in navigating state laws as well as family court proceedings. They must have an understanding of numerous areas of law in order to effectively represent their clients' interests during divorce proceedings.

Child Custody

Child custody law deals with the legal rights and responsibilities parents have regarding their minor children. It generally includes issues such as child support, visitation, guardianship, and parental responsibility. Having an experienced lawyer by your side throughout a child custody dispute can make all the difference when it comes to getting a favorable outcome from the court system.

Child Support

Child support law establishes the financial responsibility of one parent to help provide for the needs of their children after a divorce or separation. It typically entails establishing a court order stating how much money the parent must pay each month, as well as any other associated costs such as medical expenses.

Spousal Support/Alimony

Spousal support/alimony is designed to ensure that the dependent spouse maintains their standard of living and can cover basic needs such as food, housing, medical care and more. While there is no state-specified length of time a spouse must be married to receive alimony in North Carolina, the longer you are married, the more likely you will receive a spousal support/alimony award.

Property Division

Divorce can be a complicated and emotionally charged process, especially when it comes to dividing up the assets of both parties. In such cases, an attorney can provide invaluable assistance in making sure that division is done fairly and in accordance with the law.

Prenup/Postnup

Lawyers are essential in helping individuals craft prenuptial or postnuptial agreements, which must meet certain legal requirements in order to be valid. An experienced attorney can help their client understand their rights and obligations under the law, as well as advise them on how best to structure the agreement so it is fair and enforceable. With a properly drafted prenup/postnup agreement, individuals can have peace of mind that their financial interests will be protected no matter what happens down the road.
